YUMA, Ariz.-

Today was the first day of Fall and while you may not see the leaves change in Yuma, you can see the license plates driving by change.

Over 90,000 snowbirds will be driving in town from all over the country for the warmer winter weather said Linda Morgan the Executive Director for the Yuma Visitors Bureau. The influx of people will double Yuma’s population.

With over 60 RV parks in the Yuma area it is a popular destination for visitors. They will also help bring up Yuma’s economy tremendously.

I spoke with some RV park managers and they say the majority of snowbirds come in mid-October, but some came down early from Washington State because of the many wildfires burning across the state.
